Neal and the Reunion Committee!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!  We had such a WONDERFUL time. At this time in life, when so many of us are suffering loss and health issues, it was particularly wonderful to have so much fun!  It was a weekend of joy, love and remembering. We are so grateful to have been with everyone.

We danced a slow dance to the music of the Wanderers and it was so romantic. We felt  young again. We are so appreciative to have had the opportunity to meet with our classmates again and it was particularly wonderful to be recognized 50 years later! Our love to all!  Nina and Norman Danielson

Dear Class of 1962

Although I was unable to attend this grand Reunion that Neal and the Committee meticulously organized, I enjoy reading all the letters and especially love seeing the photos of my classmates from the past weekend. I can 'feel' the excitement and fun you all shared.

We are in the midst of selling our home in Mexico and returning to the States. Perhaps I'll be able to attend that 55th reunion!

Marvelous, a fine weekend with old and new friends

Thanks to all of the committee and Neal.  How much work you all did is amazing.  There were no hitches (at least none that we saw).  It was amazing how easy it was to get back in to talking about what happened 50 years ago and of seeing the folks of Eastview Ave Jr High School join WPHS.  As we got to know others who came we had more friendships.  I wish that I had maintained the WPHS friendships as I went on but there were too many distractions.  Another life lesson.  All the best to y'all (well, I am now from Atlanta).  Rich

Thank You!

It was such a pleasure to reconnect with so many great people from my high school and junior high school class. Kudos to Neal and the Committee for a wonderful job producing the event.  Thank you so much for your excellent work. I feel fortunate to share this memorable time with all of you. Let's stay in touch.

Warm regards, Audrey Dawson

Here come the photos

These photos will all be from Saturday at the football game.  I decided to leave my camera in my room for the dinner dance so I could thoroughly enjoy the moment.

Time Really Does Fly

One week ago tonight I was packing my suitcase, making final decisions about what shoes to wear.  The weekend came and went and life goes on.  In life, however, there are times we all reflect on, good times, bad times, momentous occasions, and some we would rather forget.  I consider myself very fortunate to have had the experience, the memory, of my 50th Reunion, the one we all anticipated, attended, some worked so hard to make happen, and I feel I can state, everyone thoroughly enjoyed.  And now it is over, but I have spent the last week reflecting on all it really meant.  Friendships renewed, cherished memories awakened, stories exchanged, new friendships made.  The warm hugs.  The sharing of compliments.  The moments of silence.  The hard work that had to happen in order for the event to have been such a success from beginning to end.  And I thank Neal and the entire Reunion Committee for their dedication to the endeavor.  My own experience was nothing less than a treasure, something I will cherish for a very long time.

I had been very disappointed prior to the reunion because I did not see a very dear friend's name as attending.  I had lost contact with her about ten years ago and for whatever reason could not find her phone number, email address or any other contact.  As recently as Saturday morning I was having breakfast with another close friend and lamenting about the fact that I had not been able to find our friend, "Maureen."  When I arrived at Saturday night's dinner/dance, I walked in the door, and there stood "Maureen."  She had also been trying to contact me without success.  The Reunion Commitee through their efforts to find as many classmates as possible made this reconnection possible.  They made the "hug I will always cherish" possible.  I am certain I am not the only one with this kind of a story, kind of moment, kind of a memory.  The Class of 1962 Reunion had to be the best ever in the book of Reunions if there is one.

I also took lots of pictures on Saturday and that led to some e-mails going back and forth between myself and the Superintendent of Schools, who had asked me to send him copies of photos, which I did. That led to other e-mails from other people who saw those pictures, which led to this article being posted on a White Plains schools website: https://www.whiteplainspublicschools.org/Page/11849

I am also going to start posting some of the great pictures of great people that I captured on Saturday.

What a Great Weekend!!!!!!!

There are no words to thank Neal and all the rest of the organizers for the incredible weekend festivities!  My heart is still soaring and I hope this feeling lasts a long, long time. Talking to so many classmates, I discovered what PURE friendship really is and what an immense treasure I found in all of you.

Please stay connected!!!!!!!!
