There is also a Tiger Talk Chatroom link in the navigation bar on the left that's open 24x7 for instant "conversations".

Need a Name? Nope ... it's Jeffrey Lehman

Can anyone identify the man in the middle of this picture?  Thanks.  And isn't it a great shot of Richard Berger and Coach Jefferson.  It was just so great of an event and so great to see everyone from the past years.  I will be posting a longer thank you message to Neal and the reunion Committee as soon as I get a little more time and I also am trying to figure out how to post more than one picture at a time.  Any suggestions would be be much appreciated.  Thanks briefly though to Neal and the committee, I need to say more about how special they made the event though.

[Editor's notes:  The man in the middle is none other than Jeff Lehman.  Jeff is one of the members of the WPHS Class of 1962 Fund Inc. Board of Directors, (Rich Berger is too) and Jeff is one of the unsung heros of the reunion.  Jeff's behind the scenes work enabled some of the key parts of sponsoring and promoting the weekend.

Sorry, via the message board you can only post one picture at a time.  You can always attach a bunch of picture files to an email, and send the email to wphs62reunion@gmail.com and we'll get them to the right photo album and/or the message board for you.]

Motivation from our Reunion...

Thanks to the committee, Neal, and those who took the time to come, we will never forget the experience of our 50th reunion celebration. The number of hours, days, weeks and months of planning really paid off in a number of ways, not just the fun of the weekend, but the reflexion on our lives, the ones who willing gave their lives for all of us, the ones who lost their lives to sickness and accident.  The events that we have lived through, Rockets to space, man walking on the moon, Rock and Roll,(now rap ?music) a new house selling for $12,500.00 (now you can't get a car for that)  TV dinners, cell phones, the internet, 9-11, just to mention a few, all in 50 years!

The Reunion has motivated me to keep better track and stay closer to the friends of my youth, I am reminded that a friend may live in another state or even another country, but they are only a memory and a  heartbeat away.

Thanks for offering us this opportunity of remembrance, what a wonderful time we were blessed to grow up in.  I too vote for a 55th reunion, as soon as "y'all" recover pick a date in 2017.

Hail to the Class of '62 and the Orange & Black!!

The collective thinking that forged the basis for the weekend was right on target! You could tell there was a lot of thought given what to do and how best to deliver a magnificent weekend everyone could enjoy! The Committee did a great job! And THEN there was Neal! The Chairman's job is a real test of vision, collaboration, guidance and being accepting of other folks points of view. The nuances are many and diverse. Neal, I add my "Well Done!" to those received and to come.  Saturday morning was a stroke of genius and truly cathartic!

To a class full of wonderfully contrastive folks who have compiled quite a record of accomplishments over the past 50 years...I send my best for allowing the fun to continue all weekend - we certainly are a lucky bunch!

Thank you to all of you and to Neal for giving me something to remember with such fondness! I send my best wishes to you all for enduring good health and enjoyment!

Do I hear a 55th in the group?

And for Jan Willem... I am certainly a bit rusty met mij Nederlandse maar …Beste jongen:  "Dank U voor uw gedachten en kleine filmje.”

THANKS FOR A MEMORABLE WEEKEND

Thank you Neal and everyone on the reunion committee for all your hard work.  Your extensive planning produced a wonderful event.  Seeing so many of my former classmates from grade school to HS created a weekend I will never forget.  I feel blessed to have been able to share it with you all.

Fondly,  Dorothy

oh what a night!

hi kids...just a note to thank neal and the reunion committee for organizing a fabulous weekend...so much work and it appeared to be flawless to me...you can all be very proud of a job well done!

thinking back to our (mostly) carefree high school days, it felt good to remember how easy it felt being together...no pretense..we were so young and there was this natural feeling of acceptance..and we protected each other in a way that only those ideal days of our youth could produce...

we are all fortunate to have shared this very special milestone...it was terrific to see you all!

best..barbara

Many thanks for a terrific weekend!

I don't think I can top what all our other classmates have said about this past weekend.  The only complaint I have is that it went by to fast! It was incredible to see and hug and dance with my classmates who didn't seem very much different then they were 50 years ago!

I especially want to thank Neal and his committee for doing such a splendid, well-organized, and detailed job..and for making it possible to enjoy the best reunion I've ever been to.  I hope we can all stay in touch and am looking forward to seeing you all again in the not too distant future.

Always my Best Wishes,

Meg Duboff Baer

More Congratulations!

It was a great event and Neal deserves all the credit he is getting. It is my pleasure to add my ditto to those that agree that the reunion was so well planned and executed. Thank you Neal for a great time. And to those that we were able to meet again, mingle with and enjoy a few laughs with, that was wonderful as well!

For Ed, Neal & the Soccer Guys...

(Because back then it was a boys-only sport!) I forwarded the video from Jan posted by Ed to my brother, Larry Gold, who was on your varsity team. (Larry is a lawyer in Chicago.) He responded:

"That was sweet. Jan likely was one of our forwards who actually knew how to play soccer and could kick the ball so it would go into the goal. The Americans were the bangers. I have a WPHS jacket just like Jan's, and it still fits! LAG"
