Motivation from our Reunion...
Thanks to the committee, Neal, and those who took the time to come, we will never forget the experience of our 50th reunion celebration. The number of hours, days, weeks and months of planning really paid off in a number of ways, not just the fun of the weekend, but the reflexion on our lives, the ones who willing gave their lives for all of us, the ones who lost their lives to sickness and accident. The events that we have lived through, Rockets to space, man walking on the moon, Rock and Roll,(now rap ?music) a new house selling for $12,500.00 (now you can't get a car for that) TV dinners, cell phones, the internet, 9-11, just to mention a few, all in 50 years!
The Reunion has motivated me to keep better track and stay closer to the friends of my youth, I am reminded that a friend may live in another state or even another country, but they are only a memory and a heartbeat away.
Thanks for offering us this opportunity of remembrance, what a wonderful time we were blessed to grow up in. I too vote for a 55th reunion, as soon as "y'all" recover pick a date in 2017.
