Message Board - For 'Immediate Release...' well, almost immediate

Feel free to communicate with the class by leaving a message here !

You can also upload a photo and we'll move it to one of the Photos album pages in the middle of the navigation bar on the left side of every web page.

Newest messages are at the top of this page.  It may take a day or so for your message to appear.

There is also a Tiger Talk Chatroom link in the navigation bar on the left that's open 24x7 for instant "conversations".

Hi Dorothy Wheeler and friends

I sure look forward to seeing you and others at the reunion.  You said you hoped you could come.  What would hold you back?  Where do you live now?   [Editor's note:  Aloha land, Hawaii]

Love, Ulla Neufeld

Missing Names for Arlene Gould's Photo

Dear Friends,

I was so moved by Bill Gould's message and also by those of many others.  Arlene & I have been in touch all of our lives, so I hope that maybe I might be able to come to the 50th.  Here are the names that are missing on Arlene's winery photo: CINDY EVANS, MARIANNE THOMSON, & SHERRY HOLLAND.  I still have our Post Road Jr. High yearbooks ('SCOPE' [1958] & 'POSTSCRIPT' [1959]).  Funny, we can remember names from 50 years ago, but can't remember what we wore yesterday!!!(^_^)%

Anxious to see all of you (hopefully), with hugs of aloha,

Tommie

[Editor's note:  You can read the 'Postscript 1959' by clicking on "Post Road Yearbook 1959" in the navigation bar on the left side of any page.]

Details that are too small but mean much

It is now the details more than the long threads that mean much to me as Neal and friends worked on the Reunion and the messages come in from all of you.  I can remember playing on the tennis team (with coach Mr. Walker who wanted to practice with the #1 player only), the MIDAS parties (compare those who were seniors at WPHS in the 80s or 90s or now to our years),  the WPHS theater producation whose name I don't recall but the girls (and maybe boys also) dancing with hats to a Latin beat (am I right?),  Dr. Sears and (almost) the last history class of the year, and others as I read the messages on the board.  Look forward to seeing more details and you all in three weeks.                             Rich

P.S. Neal discovered that he and I are in Atlanta these days.

[Neal notes: We have quite the WPHS crew down here; Bruce Obrentz, Barbara Trencher, Doug Bradburd, Carol Northcutt, and Patti Gangemi will be moving into the area soon.

Rich may hate this, but I'm going to brag on him a bit.  He's a professor of math at Georgia Tech, as well as heading up a department which integrates the teaching of math, engineering and technology (he teaches teachers), and oh yeah, he's written 4 books on how to teach math.  When we had lunch a few months ago and I brought a copy of the Oracle, his staff did get some giggles over his senior picture.]

My Most Sincere Regrets

Dear Classmates,

I have a personal situation with a best friend where I must be in The Netherlands. After much soulsearching I had to decide this and it saddens me very much.  It's just so unfortunate that it comes to this weekend...

Here is hoping we will meet soon in another way. The US is much in the news over here.

We returned 2 weeks ago from a long holiday in England, with much excitement at the Olympics. Enjoyed it very much. Went to much sailing, some volleyball, hockey and a lot of rowing.  Watched a part of the marathon and the road-cycling. So, rather busy... Not always the results we were hoping for, but it was a splendid experience.

We ( Anita and I ) also were a bit busy with our foundation Friends of the Holland 8; had arranged our own pub in Eton.  And, we distributed and sold our own Orange polo-shirts  "Vrienden van de Holland 8": much success.

Best wishes to all my classmates for that special year.

Here's  a pic of me with Bruce, aka "Tractorman" (class of 1960 Pine Plains High School in Dutchess County), taken August 2012 at the wedding of his niece (in NYC at Riverside Church).  A very happy family event!

Hartsdale Crowd!

Well now that the time to gather is getting near, thought I'd send a shout out to the Hartsdale "kids".  Hoping that the group will attend en masse and we can have a mini reunion of the grade school event as well as the HS reunion. Hoping to see many of you then.
